from von Bingen to …

I can’t remember, starts with “P”–didn’t like him as much, more modern, discordant. This is a whole conversation, or should I say, blog post, that I don’t have time for right now, but am reminded of as a former madrigal-mate sent me a link to this person’s discovery of chanting Hildegard. I liked Hildegard (though I know we didn’t even begin to get so esoteric as to pronounce the Latin with a Germanized accent). William Byrd’s five voice mass was a big favourite. And … well, more later. Work to do now.
